The Roading Committee of the Waikato District Council meets to discuss roading operations in the Waikato district and make recommendations for amendments to roading services and road safety for the district.
The areas the Roading Committee is involved with include:
- Roading capital works and maintenance programmes
- Road safety and education
- Passenger transport
- Parking, traffic services, footpaths and general network management
- Township development physical works
- New Zealand Transport Agency issues
- Regional transport issues
- Rural fire
The Roading Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month with the exception of January, April, July and October. The meetings are scheduled to commence at 1.00pm.
