I have been with the council since March 2008 working as a structure planning analyst/engineer in the Strategy & Planning team. In my role, I help to plan for the future growth within the sub-region areas and in our towns and villages. This involves assisting land and infrastructure requirements to meet the aniticpated growth and development in our district. Managing growth is vital to ensure there is harmony between the people that live there and the surrounding environment.
Most of the work I do is within the strategic planning field which is closely associated with sub-regional and structure planning. This involves working with our Future Proof partners on various projects associated with managing growth and development in the sub-region and managing growth within towns and villages.
It is great to be in a position where I get to work on a range of diverse projects and get to work with people from across the organisation. This work has moulded me into a very versatile team player where no two projects are the same.
