Council contributes funds to a Passenger Transport Service that operates within the district. Waikato Regional Council (Environment Waikato) are the service administrators. The New Zealand Transport Agency provides a subsidy on the operation of approved services. School bus runs are not part of this activity.
The management of service levels for the bus service lies with Waikato Regional Council.
