Huntly residents are urged to boil their drinking water for the next three days while Waikato District Council works to overcome an issue with the water supply.
Waikato District Council Group Manager, Community Assets, Richard Bax said his team had worked through the night to try to isolate the cause but had at this stage been unable to find anything.
“At this stage we have plenty of chlorine going into the water and we believe the risk to be low but as a precaution we ask that residents boil their drinking water for one minute for the next three days at least.”
Further updates will be posted on the Waikato District Council website www.waikatodistrict.govt.nz
